Following the weekend clash between the European Champions Chelsea and the Premier League giants
Manchester United which saw Chelsea not only lose at home but also end their undefeated league run. But
irrespective of the 2-3 loss at their home ground Stamford Bridge they refused to get demoralized and
hoped to get their pound of flesh back as they clashed again on Wednesday's Carling cup fixture which saw
them edge over Manchester United in a 5-4 win after been trailing 2-1 within the first 45 minutes. It seems a
repetition of the weekend event was set to take place again when Manchester was leading them 3-2 but
smart changes from trainer Di Matteo made the turning point bringing in the likes of Edin Hazard and
promising youngster Oscar.
Chelsea has also lodged a formal complaint on Referee Clattenburg over the racial word used on their
Midfielder John Mikel Obi. The Management said they may drop the case of Juan Mata but will follow the
Mikel case to the end
